Penn Program on Regulation Welcomes New Regulation Fellow

New PPR fellow brings public policy expertise to the University of Pennsylvania.

The Penn Program on Regulation (PPR) recently welcomed Chris Carrigan to the University of Pennsylvania Law School as its first Regulation Fellow.

Carrigan comes to PPR from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, where he is a Ph.D. candidate in public policy. His research focuses on the politics of regulation and the impacts of organizational structure on regulatory outcomes. Specifically, he is currently investigating the effects of motivational heterogeneity among bureaucrats on both the interplay between political principals and government agencies as well as bureau interactions with regulated entities.

In addition to his graduate work at the Kennedy School, Chris holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and previously worked as a director at two economic consulting firms and a manager in a large financial services company. He holds an undergraduate degree in economics from Davidson College.

Designed for scholars interested in pursuing academic careers related to regulation or administrative law, the Regulation Fellow program provides an excellent opportunity for doctoral and postdoctoral research. The Regulation Fellow enjoys faculty access to Penn Law services and full participation in all events of the Penn Program on Regulation.
