Agencies should consider new tools to expand access to public opinion in the rulemaking process.
Eduardo Martinez is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Cincinnati and serves as a Faculty Affiliate of the UC Center for Public Engagement with Science. Prior to UC, Martinez completed his Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His dissertation developed a set of standards with which to evaluate components of democracies under non-ideal circumstances with a focus on social epistemic considerations. Before graduate school, he completed his B.A. in Philosophy and Economics at Columbia University.
