Judge Richard M. Berman has been a U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York since November 1998, and a senior judge since 2011. He received a B.S. degree from Cornell University in 1964, a J.D. degree in 1967 from N.Y.U. School of Law, and a M.S.W. in 1996 from Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service.
